LayerFilter: ColorMap Description

Apply various color maps to images for artistic effects, offering opacity control for blending.

LayerFilter: ColorMap:

The LayerFilter: ColorMap node is designed to apply a variety of color maps to an image, transforming its color scheme according to a selected palette. This node is particularly useful for AI artists looking to enhance their images with specific color styles or to create visually striking effects. By leveraging a range of predefined color maps, such as autumn, jet, rainbow, and many others, you can easily experiment with different color transformations to achieve the desired artistic effect. The node also allows you to control the opacity of the applied color map, providing further flexibility in blending the effect with the original image. This makes it a powerful tool for adding unique color dynamics to your artwork.

LayerFilter: ColorMap Input Parameters:

image

This parameter expects an image input, which is the base image to which the color map will be applied. The image should be in a format compatible with the node's processing functions.

color_map

This parameter allows you to select the color map to be applied to the image. The available options include a variety of predefined color maps such as autumn, bone, jet, winter, rainbow, ocean, summer, sprint, cool, HSV, pink, hot, parula, magma, inferno, plasma, viridis, cividis, twilight, twilight_shifted, turbo, and deepgreen. Each color map offers a unique color transformation, enabling diverse artistic effects.

opacity

This parameter controls the opacity of the applied color map, allowing you to blend the color map effect with the original image. The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 100, with a default value of 100. A value of 0 means the color map is fully transparent (no effect), while a value of 100 means the color map is fully opaque (maximum effect).

LayerFilter: ColorMap Output Parameters:

image

The output is the transformed image with the selected color map applied. This image retains the original dimensions and format but features the new color scheme as defined by the chosen color map and opacity settings. The output is designed to be visually striking and can be used directly in your artwork or further processed as needed.

LayerFilter: ColorMap Usage Tips:

  • Experiment with different color maps to find the one that best enhances your image. Each color map offers a unique style, so try several to see which one fits your artistic vision.
  • Adjust the opacity parameter to blend the color map effect with the original image. Lower opacity values can create subtle enhancements, while higher values can produce more dramatic transformations.
  • Use this node in combination with other image processing nodes to create complex and layered effects. For example, apply a color map first and then use a watercolor effect to add texture.

LayerFilter: ColorMap Common Errors and Solutions:

Error: Invalid image format

  • Explanation: This error occurs if the input image is not in a compatible format.
  • Solution: Ensure that the input image is in a format supported by the node, such as a standard image tensor.

Error: Color map index out of range

  • Explanation: This error happens if the selected color map is not within the predefined list.
  • Solution: Verify that the color map selected is one of the available options listed in the node's parameters.

Error: Opacity value out of range

  • Explanation: This error occurs if the opacity value is set outside the allowed range of 0 to 100.
  • Solution: Adjust the opacity value to be within the range of 0 to 100. Use the default value of 100 if unsure.
