Enhance depth and focus in visual projects with realistic Depth of Field effect control for professional scene composition.
The DepthflowEffectDOF
node is designed to apply a Depth of Field (DOF) effect to your visual projects, enhancing the depth and focus of your images or animations. This node allows you to simulate the optical effect where objects at different distances from the camera appear in varying degrees of sharpness, mimicking the way a real camera lens works. By configuring various parameters, you can control the start and end points of the DOF effect, its intensity, quality, and the number of directions it affects. This flexibility enables you to create more realistic and visually appealing scenes, adding a professional touch to your work by emphasizing certain areas while blurring others, thus guiding the viewer's attention effectively.
This parameter enables or disables the Depth of Field effect. When set to True
, the DOF effect is applied, allowing you to manipulate the focus and blur of your scene. The default value is True
.
The dof_start
parameter defines the starting point of the Depth of Field effect along the depth axis. It determines where the focus begins, with values typically ranging from 0.0 to 1.0. The default value is 0.6
, which means the effect starts closer to the camera.
This parameter sets the endpoint of the Depth of Field effect, indicating where the focus ends. Like dof_start
, it ranges from 0.0 to 1.0, with a default value of 1.0
, meaning the effect extends to the farthest point in the scene.
The dof_exponent
parameter controls the rate at which the DOF effect transitions from focused to blurred. A higher exponent results in a steeper transition. The default value is 2.0
.
This parameter adjusts the strength of the blur effect applied to out-of-focus areas. A higher intensity results in a more pronounced blur. The default value is 1.0
.
The dof_quality
parameter affects the quality of the Depth of Field effect, with higher values providing smoother and more refined results. The default value is 4
.
This parameter specifies the number of directions in which the DOF effect is applied, influencing the smoothness and realism of the blur. The default value is 16
.
The output parameter effects
is a dictionary containing the updated settings for the Depth of Field effect. It reflects the configuration applied through the input parameters, allowing you to see the impact of your adjustments on the visual output.
