Enhance mask smoothness with Gaussian blur for refined AI art.
MaskSmooth+ is a powerful node designed to enhance the smoothness of mask images in your AI art projects. This node applies a Gaussian blur to the mask, which helps in softening the edges and creating a more refined and polished look. The primary benefit of using MaskSmooth+ is its ability to eliminate harsh transitions and jagged edges in masks, resulting in smoother and more visually appealing outputs. This node is particularly useful when you need to blend different elements seamlessly or when you want to create a more natural and organic appearance in your artwork. By adjusting the smoothing amount, you can control the degree of blur applied, allowing for precise customization to suit your specific needs.
The mask
parameter is the input mask image that you want to smooth. This mask is typically a binary or grayscale image where the regions of interest are highlighted. The mask serves as the base image on which the smoothing operation will be applied.
The amount
parameter controls the intensity of the smoothing effect. It is an integer value with a default of 0, a minimum of 0, and a maximum of 127. The higher the value, the more pronounced the smoothing effect will be. If the amount is set to 0, no smoothing is applied. Note that the amount value is adjusted to be an odd number if it is even, ensuring the Gaussian blur operation functions correctly.
The output mask
is the smoothed version of the input mask. This output retains the same dimensions as the input mask but with softened edges and transitions, making it more suitable for blending and creating visually appealing compositions.
