Audio Treble Boost Description

Enhances high-frequency audio components for brighter, vibrant sound with improved clarity and presence.

Audio Treble Boost:

SaltAudioTrebleBoost is designed to enhance the high-frequency components of an audio signal, making it sound brighter and more vibrant. This node is particularly useful for improving the clarity and presence of audio tracks, especially in scenarios where the treble frequencies are subdued or need to stand out more. By applying a high-pass filter and boosting the gain of the filtered frequencies, SaltAudioTrebleBoost effectively amplifies the treble range, resulting in a more pronounced and crisp sound. This can be beneficial for various audio processing tasks, such as music production, podcast editing, and sound design, where a clear and bright audio output is desired.

Audio Treble Boost Input Parameters:

audio

This parameter accepts the audio data that you want to process. The audio should be in a compatible format, typically a WAV file, and is the primary input for the treble boost operation.

cutoff_freq

This integer parameter defines the cutoff frequency for the high-pass filter. Frequencies above this value will be boosted. The cutoff frequency can be set between 20 Hz and 300 Hz, with a default value of 150 Hz. Adjusting this value allows you to control which part of the treble range is affected by the boost.

boost_dB

This float parameter specifies the amount of gain to apply to the frequencies above the cutoff frequency. The boost can range from 0.0 dB to 24.0 dB, with a default value of 5.0 dB. Increasing this value will make the treble frequencies more prominent, while lower values will result in a subtler enhancement.

Audio Treble Boost Output Parameters:

audio

The output parameter is the processed audio data with the treble frequencies boosted. This enhanced audio retains the original format and length, ensuring that the only change is the improved treble response.

Audio Treble Boost Usage Tips:

  • Experiment with different cutoff_freq values to find the sweet spot for your specific audio track. Lower values will affect more of the mid-range frequencies, while higher values will focus on the upper treble range.
  • Use the boost_dB parameter judiciously. A higher boost can make the audio sound overly bright or harsh, so start with a moderate value and adjust as needed.
  • Combine SaltAudioTrebleBoost with other audio processing nodes, such as compressors or equalizers, to achieve a balanced and polished sound.

Audio Treble Boost Common Errors and Solutions:

"Invalid audio format"

  • Explanation: The input audio is not in a compatible format, such as WAV.
  • Solution: Ensure that the audio file is in WAV format before processing it with SaltAudioTrebleBoost.

"Cutoff frequency out of range"

  • Explanation: The cutoff_freq parameter is set outside the allowed range of 20 Hz to 300 Hz.
  • Solution: Adjust the cutoff_freq parameter to be within the specified range.

"Boost dB out of range"

  • Explanation: The boost_dB parameter is set outside the allowed range of 0.0 dB to 24.0 dB.
  • Solution: Adjust the boost_dB parameter to be within the specified range.
